Judge: Steve Halifax (Jackstaff)
Firstly thank you to the club for allowing me to officiate at their Ruby anniversary show today, a sincere thanks go to my two stewards on the day Mr Pete Naylor and Mrs Pauline Wales.Thank you to the many overseas exhibitors some travelling long distances to attend both shows over the weekend at a great venue. Having not judged for several years now but attending on a regular basis shows up and down the country, I found construction, balance and movement in a large proportion of the exhibits has improved so that a positive going forward. I found a couple of untidy mouths but on the whole nothing the breed should be worried about. I did note especially on the Pieds / Red and whites the immaculate cleanliness and coat conditioning on them, however I noted a couple of dogs showed little or no conditioning, this affected their placings.I thank all exhibitors for the sporting manor in which they excepted my choices on the day and was delighted to hear a loud rapturous cheer and applause when I awarded the challenge certificate and the rest of the major awards.

1st Griffin’s JAZOSTAFFS SUPER MOON. A topsize black brindle dog perhaps a bit too much for some but not for me today, hes got a well defined strong head, deep stop broad skull and correct teeth, dark eyes lovely rose ears flowing into a strong neck correct angulation tight well padded feet held his topline and moved ok for I assume his novice handler. If I would change anything on him I would like a tad less lip that said a lovely dog.
2nd Seymour’s DEKAYRO’S EYE OF THE TIGER. A predominately brindle dog turned out in good condition, hes a well shaped head with dark eye open nostrils neatest of ears ( when he wants to use them ) good body proportions moved well holding his topline. I must say his lady handler did all she could to get the best out of him which at times wasnt easy but never flagged in her attempts well done.3rd Cook’s STAFFRANOS ESQUIRE AT RAGNARSTAFFS.Res Nolan’s HAMMYSTAFF TAINTED LOVE.
