About The Gallimore Trust
Founded in 1992 and officially registered with the Charity Commission in 1993, The Gallimore Trust was established in memory of Gwen and Victor Gallimore — lifelong lovers, breeders, and devoted advocates of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Following their passing, a generous legacy left by Victor helped to create the Trust, ensuring that their love and care for the breed would continue for generations to come.
Our Mission
The Trust exists to support Staffordshire Bull Terriers in need — particularly those in rescue or requiring veterinary care when owners face financial difficulty. Our goal is to make sure every Stafford, regardless of circumstance, has the chance for a healthy and happy life.
Our Heritage
Gwen and Victor bred under the renowned kennel name Wystaff, and their champion Ch. Wystaff Warfare became the first Staffordshire Bull Terrier to win Best in Show at an all-breeds Championship Show — a milestone in the breed’s history.
Trustees – Past and Present
From the original Trustees — Ann Gatenby, Ron Grantham, Clare Lee, and Vic Pounds — through to today’s dedicated team of Veronica Wardleworth, Julie Gray, Lesley McFadyen, Anna Murray and Terri Morrell, the Trust has been guided by a shared passion for the breed and a deep commitment to its welfare.
Our Work Continues
The Trustees meet regularly to allocate funds to rescue organisations and individuals who genuinely need help with vet bills or care costs. Every request is carefully checked and supported by evidence to ensure transparency and fairness.
The Trust welcomes future legacies and donations to continue its important work — safeguarding the health and wellbeing of Staffords in need, now and in the years to come.© Copyright The Online SBT Annual
